Author portrait

Sue’s path to writing grew out of a lifelong love for stories that echo across time. After decades spent performing in amature productions, she found the truest narratives were not always found under the lights, but in the quiet spaces where God invites a heart to listen. Writing became the place where her creative instincts, her faith, and her fascination with the past finally converged.

She has always felt a deep affinity for period-based stories. Tales rooted in the eras when life moved slower, communities held each other close, and communication depended on proximity rather than speed. To her, history offers a richer foundation for storytelling: a landscape where human nature is laid bare, choices carry weight, and the smallest gesture can change a life. Those echoes from the past guide her work, shaping the emotional and spiritual terrain her characters walk.

Symbolism is woven intentionally through her prose. Sue believes a story should offer more than its surface, it should invite readers to look deeper, to find the hidden meanings and connections that resonate with their own experiences.

Living in rural Colorado, she draws inspiration from the natural world around her. The frontier spirit that shaped the women that came before her. For Sue, writing is a place where faith and creativity meet. A lantern she carries, trusting God to illuminate each step of the path as she walks it. Drawing on her own expiriences in life, she writes stories of resilience, redemption, and second acts. For anyone who has felt the pull of a new beginning, and for those who need to be reminded that it is never too late to step into the story meant for them.
